CSUDH Theater Department's Adaptation of Romeo and Juliet : R&J
ASK: Create a design showcasing the forbidden love of Romeo and Juliet. In this version R&J are both women of color and the setting takes place in present day United States. I designed a poster and other assets to promote the Theater Department's new play.
IDEA: My idea for designing this poster was to focus on representing the urban and modern environment this story takes place in. I took inspiration from 60s brutalism by emphasizing on visual hierarchy, functionality and using modular repeating shapes.
DELIVERABLES: 18x24 poster, billboard design, and social media designs for Instagram and Facebook.
